Manchester City Council has identified £150,000 funding to commission the development and delivery of engagement activities for NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) Manchester residents aged 16, 17 or 18. This also includes those identified as at risk of becoming NEET currently attending one of the 5 NEET priority schools in Manchester or educated via the Manchester PRU.

Activity receiving funding will engage with Manchester NEET young people, develop their personal and social competencies and progress them towards mainstream provision, including further education, apprenticeships and preparation for self-employment. Organisations are invited to submit bids for funding for no more than £75,000. The funds must be used during the financial year 2010/11.

The deadline for applications is 4pm on Tuesday 14th September 2010.
