I am currently studying at Manchester Metropolitan University for a degree in Events Management. As part of my course, I am required to undertake an investigation into an area of my interest and write a report based on my findings. I would like to understand what motivates individuals to undertake volunteering and also gain some appreciation as to what might discourage increased or continued support. As part of the study I intend to examine the reasons why individuals choose to volunteer and also what occurs when there are motivation issues during the volunteering.
