Gain New Skills

With Manchester Event Volunteers you can gain new skills from our many events and courses. Over the years we have enabled volunteers to learn new skills in Event Management, Stewarding, First Aid, Health and Safety and much more. Volunteering proves to your future employer that you have developed necessary skills & are a committed person. This is especially useful for application forms and job interviews. Volunteering also gives you a chance to get experience in a field you’d like to work in.

Make A Difference - Give Something Back to your Community

Many of our Events involve working with charities and local organisations such as friends of various parks. By volunteering for these events, you can help to contribute to the improvement of Manchester and surrounding areas.

Reward and Recognition

When you have achieved a certain number of volunteering hours with the service, you will receive free items of recognition such as pin badges, pens, baseball caps, t-shirts and jackets!

Make new friends

A major part of volunteering with MEV is being part of our growing community. Already, many of our volunteers have reported to us about making a whole new circle of friends from our events!

Receive Training

Many of the volunteer projects will include training, which will be useful both on the project and in later life.
