Sunday 15th July 2012 City Centre
9am- 5:00pm (the ride starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm)Skyride is a mass participation cycling event organised by Sky, British Cycling and Manchester City Council, aimed at getting more people of all ages and abilities cycling. The route is a traffic free course through Manchester City Centre from Castlefield to Sport City.
We are looking to recruit volunteers from 9.00 to 17.00 to undertake a variety of roles on the day including:Stewarding - to marshal along the various routes to help manage the flow of cyclists along the route (in conjunction with Showsec staff).
Information - to give out information at feeder hubs and other stations along the route and to act as a key contact point for queries.
Other - volunteers may be required to help man other activity areas during the day including for example water stations, bike racks, cycling demonstrations.Each volunteer will be provided with high-vis clothing to wear on the day. Travel expenses will be paid. All volunteers will be provided with lunch and a bottle of water.
