    Long Term Opportunity

Opportunity location: Woodhouse Park Allotments, Wythenshawe, M23 and Edge Lane Allotments, Openshaw, M11

Manchester Carers Forum is a charity that campaigns on behalf of unpaid carers across the city. It is a carer-led organisation that provides various services to support and improves the lives of carers.

We are in the process of developing our allotment plots in Woodhouse Park and Openshaw.

If you have an interest in gardening and horticulture we are looking for volunteers to support us in the continued development and sustainability of this project. Could you pass on your skills to our carers? Do you want to help carers improve the quality of their lives? If so why not get involved and help us achieve our goals.

We are offering a free 10 week allotment skills-building course from May 2012 which will be open to carers and Project volunteers.

Food, travel and associated expenses will be met by Manchester Carers Forum.
