    Hello there everyone.

    I though I would start this one off. 

    For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mark Pritchard, MEV Project Manager.  First of all I would like to apologise for the photo, I'm not very good in front of cameras!!

    Anyway, as for me, from 2000, I worked on the Pre Volunteer Programme for the XVII Commonwealth Games and was a Crew and Accreditation Manager for Boxing at Wythenshawe Forum and MEV Arena during Games time. 

    I have been part of this service since the end of the Games in 2002 and with the help of Chris Baird (our IT Project Officer, responsible for this site and our database) we set up the Post Games Volunteer Project (snappy title I know)!!!!

    In 2005 the service was rebranded and became what you all now know as Manchester Event Volunteers.  Kristian joined the team in January 2006, taking responsibility for all things volunteers and was a much needed help to a very small team.

    My role encompasses a lot of things, however, one of the main priorities is to make sure you are all happy, well looked after volunteers!!  I do hope we succeed in doing that.
